Tom Sullivan is a native New Yorker. He has a B.A. degree in Special Education from Arizona State University, a M.S. in Special Education from Hunter College (CUNY) and a M.A. in Dance Education from New York University. He danced professionally with several independent choreographers such as Kevin Wynn, D.J. McDonald, Sue Bernhard, Monica Levy, Z’eva Cohen, Pearl Lang, Douglass Dunn and Yung Yung Tsuai. He also danced with the Washington Square Repertory Company, Dance Consort/Mezzacappa-Gabrien, HARRY dance and other works by Senta Driver and the Martha Graham Ensemble. He has taught adults and teens at the Graham School. He recently retired from teaching Special Needs students in the New York City public school system and now teaches adult swimming classes. Tom currently works for 92Y as a dance instructor at P.S. 146 in East Harlem.
