Caryn Cooper, a native from Long Island, NY is a dance administrator, educator and artist. As an administrator and educator, she has a wide range of management experience in marketing, publicity, development and education as she has worked for a number of arts organizations including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Center and the Joffrey Ballet School. As a artist she has trained for eight years in the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Ballet technique and has studied many other styles such as Tap, African, Jazz and Hip Hop. She is currently a founding member of the Ya'el Tap Dance Company and has had the opportunity to perform at various venues in the New York area including The Wild Project, the Gowanus Arts Center and the American Tap Dance Foundation. Caryn holds a BFA in Arts Management from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus and a MA in Dance Education from New York University.
