Marilyn Baker has worked in modern dance, film and theater. She has studied with Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham, Finis Jhung and Mary Anthony. Marilyn has taught children and adults for 35 years. She has been on the faculties of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, New Jersey Center for Modern Dance Education, North Carolina School of the Arts and taught at the University of Utah, Old Dominion University, as well as in the Harkness Center at 92Y. She has conducted teacher training workshops for the American Dance Guild, NYC Headstart Program and 92Y. She designed and implemented an early childhood curriculum in dance for young children. For the last 25 years she has had a personal training and small group fitness practice. Marilyn holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
